We have moved to Munich, Germany. On January 9, 2012 we arrived into Munich and settled into a house in the countryside in a little town called Ebenhausen. The setting is spectacular, we can see the alps from our windows. The boys have more space to play and a garden! It's been quite wild 6 weeks since we have arrived. Dylan has caught every bug that was going around and now it seems that it's Brycen's turn to acclimate to the germs! We haven't been too many places because of the illnesses but we sure do know the doctor quite well. Dylan is attending the Munich International School in Starnberg, Germany. He loves his teacher and is surprised himself how much he likes it. He still talks highly of ASIJ and misses the school and his friends in Tokyo. We all do for that matter. Currently we are working on a 1400 4D puzzle of Tokyo, which only deepens my homesickness for Tokyo and my dear friends I left behind. The boys are thrilled with their newly themed bedrooms: Dylan has a "Steelers" themed bedroom and Brycen has a "Cars 2" themed bedroom. The basement serves as fantastic playroom, dance floor, soccer/football field and Hyper Rescue scenes. We enjoy our Sundays that's when the country of Germany closes up shop and we are have found new hobbies to enjoy. Hiking, sled riding, skiing, reading and playing together as a family. We love this "new" concept of Sundays! Greg is enjoying learning his new job and meeting new people. He has a great group to work with. Kate is growing weary of tending to sick boys. Hopefully things will turn a corner for the better soon. She is anticipating the arrival of our new treadmill this week! And Max of course is in love with Germany. He has new energy and can't wait to pick up Dylan at the bus stop everyday (he gets to play in the fields on the way home). Dylan had a week off of school last week for "ski week". We went to Austria...I will do a separate post on that trip. On our way to Munich!
Baggage claim was howling and we found our hound making all the racket...glad to see he made the trip ok.
Jerry Cunningham came to greet us at the airport. Dylan's first question to him was, "Where are all the kids?" Referring to his four kids he met when we came for a looksy in October. I think we had 20+bags with us. We needed two big vans to get us to the airport.
