Like his dad, and his dad's dad, Dylan loves maps. Today we were out in Yoyogi Park and Dylan naturally gravitated to the map.
Max also got out for a nice long run, which doesn't happen much now that we don't have a back yard. I think both the boys enjoyed a little time in some green space.
This past weekend Greg and Dylan got haircuts together. Dylan thought the towel on Daddy's head was pretty funny, and it was even funnier when one got plopped on his head. They both probably had more fun getting a haircut that morning than ever before.
Greg has been wanting to read to Dylan's class and he took the opportunity to read last week. Dylan was surprised to see Daddy walk through the door and the teachers thought it was great just to have an adult male in the room for a change. Daddy read an all-time favorite Down to the Sea with Mr. Magee by Chris VanDusen. We love all of Chris VanDusen's books! It was obvious Dylan was proud to have his Daddy there, he had his hand on his lap the whole time. He thought he was really special that day.
A few weeks ago Dylan started soccer class at the British Soccer Academy, which he absolutely loves. The whole time he just runs around with a half grin on his face, chasing the ball every which way. It's pretty entertaining to watch three year old kids attempt soccer. His coach is great too. He's a British guy who is really loud, has a raspy sorta voice, and sounds like he was at the bar until the wee hours of the morning the night before. I thought for sure Dylan would be scared of the guy, because he's always yelling, but Dylan and the kids just love him. Click here to see more pictures.
The festivities started out at school with a parade around the block with the Ladybug class. Then we went to Alex's house for dinner and some trick or treating that began at 5:30pm. We looked out the window and saw a line a mile long waiting for the treats!!! It was absolutely crazy. I have never seen such a cute adorable mob of people. Once we got the door, we heard that the line at Alex's apartment had already given out 1,000 pieces of candy in a half hour! Dylan was overwhelmed at first but quickly warmed up to all the excitement and we made it around the block for a handful of treats and we called it good.
