As you can likely tell by the rate at which I am posting new content, things are a bit different around the Clark household. Dylan seems to like the comfort of someone holding him, and expresses his displeasure with us putting him in his crib by screaming at the top of his little lungs. At first I thought, “Good grief, we better not teach the kid that screaming is the way to get everything you want.” But, the books tell us that going with your instincts and picking him up right away is the right thing to do for right now. I’m still a bit leery of the practice, however, because I think most of those books are written by women that breast feed their kids until the day they drop them off at kindergarten, and those kids inevitably become democrats. We don’t want that now. Clearly, we must be very very careful.
Dylan is growing like a weed and has moved beyond premie-wear, and right into 0-3 month. He is looking around a lot more now, and it even seems like he is trying to smile on occasion. Each day it also becomes clearer that he is going to have some pretty blue eyes. We have been blessed so richly, and we just pray that things keep going as well as they have so far.
